It’s official – I’m a paper crafting instructor!

I will be teaching two new classes at my local rubber stamp store in February! I am so excited!! Teaching card making classes is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and now it’s finally happening. I’ve come up with some really cool things to teach – I hope to see you there!

Introduction to Invitations
Level: Beginner to Advanced – something for everyone!
Cost: $13
Date: Saturday, February 3, 2007 11:00am-12:30pm
This class is an introduction to the basics of making invitations. You will learn tips and techniques for making quick and easy invitations for any occasion. Do you need to make large quantities of an invitation? This class will teach you what you should avoid, and how to get them done quickly. You’ll also learn about standard invitation and envelope sizes, and postal mailing requirements. Participants will make three different styles of basic invitations, and will have the opportunity to personalize each design.

Creative Invitations
Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Cost: $15
Date: Saturday, February 17, 2007 11:00am-12:30pm
Unique invitations don’t need to be hard to make! In this class you will learn how to make several different styles of invitations that are simple but unique. Learn creative folding techniques, how to use specialty papers, and how to add simple little touches that make a big difference. Participants will make four different invitations, and will have the opportunity to personalize each design.

Both classes will be held at:

Changes are coming! But for now…

Dear Readers:

I’m so sorry I haven’t posted anything in the last month! Things got a little crazy for me as I decided to quit my job, and my husband and I also decided to try hosting our own blogs. So I will soon be directing you to a new site, but for now I wanted to get another post up about something new I just tried.

As a crafter, I am constantly seeing new exciting tools and products that I feel I absolutely have to have! The problem is that those new things often end up in a drawer somewhere, forgotten when the next best thing comes along. Well, I recently challenged myself to dig to the bottom of my drawers to find something I’ve never used – and to use it! What I found is this great product called Cow of Many Colors embossing powder. I bought it at the Auntie Amy rubber stamping convention last year from a vendor called CowTown Stamps. It’s an embossing powder that changes color the longer you heat it with your heat gun. It starts out as a purple/blue, then turns green, then yellow, then finally turns to orange. I thought it would be perfect for my sun image stamp. What do you think?Cow of Many Colors card
